چکیده
The European Habitats Directive was adopted to halt the rapid loss of biodiversity and has become an important instrument for protecting in Union. Three aquatic plant species protected under have so far been found Lithuania: Aldrovanda vesiculosa, Caldesia parnassifolia, Najas flexilis. Our aim this study evaluate former current distribution status conservation target species. Screening above-mentioned performed 73 natural lakes throughout Lithuania 2019–2021. We confirmed extant populations vesiculosa four lakes, parnassifolia two flexilis northeastern part country. studied three times (2015, 2019, 2022) Lake Rūžas once each Apvardai Dysnai (2020). population density ranged from 193.4 ± 159.7 224.0 211.0 individuals/m2, mean length plants 12.5 2.1 14.3 2.7 cm, number apices 2.0 0.7 2.2 0.9 per individual. habitat covered area about 3 ha. generative individuals widely varied between years Rūžas. All were small, although potential habitats cover relatively large areas. propose designating all with as special areas conservation, well developing implementing action plans these their habitats.

Species distribution modelling of invasive alien species; Pterois miles for current distribution and future suitable habitats
The present study aims to predict the potential geographic distribution and future expansion of invasive alien lionfish (Pterois miles) with ecological niche modelling along the Mediterranean Sea. The primary data consisted of occurrence points of P. miles in the Mediterranean and marine climatic data layers were collected from global databases. All the used models run 100% su...
متن کاملFish Species of Greatest Conservation Need in Wadeable Iowa Streams: Current Status and Effectiveness of Aquatic Gap Program Distribution Models
Effective conservation of fish species of greatest conservation need (SGCN) requires an understanding of species– habitat relationships and distributional trends. Thus, modeling the distribution of fish species across large spatial scales may be a valuable tool for conservation planning. Our goals were to evaluate the status of 10 fish SGCN in wadeable Iowa streams and to test the effectiveness...
متن کاملEvaluation of species diversity and spatial distribution characteristics of five dominant plant species in Hamoon wetlands
This research aimed to investigate plant species diversity and spatial distribution of five dominant species i.e. Phragmites australis, Tamarix meyeri, Aeluropus littoralis, Aeluropus lagopoides and Cynodon dactylon in Hamoon international wetlands in 2015. To this end, a randomize-systematic sampling method was used according to w pattern by four strip transect at 5000 m2 at each station. The ...
متن کاملModeling the current and future suitable habitat distribution of Fritillaria imperialis under climate change scenarios and using three general circulation model in Iran
Climate change may pose challenges to the conservation of plant species such as the Fritillaria imperialis that have narrow geographical distribution. In this study, the modeling suitable habitats of F.imperialis in Iran was done in the current condition and under climate change (2050). For this purpose, 78 species presence data along with 12 environmental variables including bioclimatic, physi...
متن کاملAquatic Plant Diversity in Italy: Distribution, Drivers and Strategic Conservation Actions
Italy is recognized as one of the prominent hot spot areas for plant diversity at regional and global scale, hosting a rich range of ecosystems and habitat types. This is especially true considering aquatic habitats, which represent a major portion of the total water surfaces in the Mediterranean region. Nevertheless, only a scant attention was paid to clarify the species richness of aquatic pl...
